At MoneyPilot ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.   • Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google using Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by Google.
  • Transaction Data: Information about your income, expenses, budgets, and financial goals that you enter into the App.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including features used and time spent in the App.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: App crashes, system activity, and performance data to help us improve the App.

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: To send you reminders about budgets, goals, and important financial updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our App and its features
  • To process and store your financial transactions and data locally on your device
  • To provide AI-powered financial insights and recommendations through the Google Gemini API
  • To authenticate your identity when using Google Sign-In
  • To send you notifications and reminders based on your preferences
  • To display personalized advertisements through Google AdMob (if you choose to view rewarded ads)
  • To analyze App usage and performance to improve user experience
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Local Storage

Your financial transaction data, budgets, goals, and other personal information are stored locally on your device using SQLite database. This means:

  • Your data remains on your device and is not automatically synced to our servers
  • You can use the App offline without an internet connection
  • You have full control over your data and can delete it at any time through the App settings

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your information:

4.1 Google Firebase Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication to enable Google Sign-In functionality. When you sign in with Google, Firebase collects your email address and basic profile information. 4.2 Google Gemini API

When you use the AI Financial Advisor feature, your financial data and queries are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing to generate insights and recommendations. This data is processed according to Google's API Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store your financial data on Google's servers beyond what is necessary for API processing. 4.3 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display rewarded advertisements in our App. AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and usage data to provide personalized ads. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information:

  • Local data encryption using SQLite encryption features
  • Secure authentication through Firebase
  • Secure API communications using HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Regular security assessments and updates

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You can access all your data stored locally in the App
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Correction: You can update or correct your information directly in the App
  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of notifications through your device settings
  • Ad Preferences: You can manage ad preferences through your device's advertising settings

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, including the United States where our third-party service providers (Google) are located.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
  • Sending you a notification through the App (for material changes)
